1920s French Spelter Mantle Statues on Marble Pierrots Musicians Commedia Dell’arte
Out of stock
This is a beautiful and large Ca. 1920's spelter piece featuring 3 figures on a marble base. Featuring a lady at center with two musicians/pierrots pining for her attention on each side. I believe this piece depicts a scene from Commedia Dell'arte. Lady Columbine possibly. Stamped France on the back. As mentioned, it is large at 19 inches long by 10 inches tall. And heavy. There is a split in the neck of one of the musicians. The corners of the marble base are pretty worn. The lady figure is a little loose but that should be an easy fix. Shows oxidation. I think with a little wax this would brighten up nicely. Cool old piece.
